# Privacy Policy

Official Privacy Policy of QMS, the quantum-resistant layer-1 blockchain.

Last Updated: 19 October 2026

## 1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of the QMS website and services, together with its affiliates ("**QMS**", "**we**", "**us**" or "**our**"), collects, uses, shares and otherwise processes personal information through our websites, documentation, testnet and related interfaces, community channels, social media pages, marketing activities, events and other services that link to this Privacy Policy (together, the "**Services**"). We may provide additional privacy notices for specific products, programmes or services at the time we collect personal information.

The QMS Network is a decentralised, open-source blockchain protocol. This Privacy Policy covers only personal information that QMS controls. It does not cover the protocol itself, independent miners or node operators, or any third-party wallets, exchanges or other services, each of which has its own privacy practices.

By accessing the Services, communicating with us or providing personal information to us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and acknowledge that your personal information will be processed as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

## 2. Information we collect

**Information you provide.** This may include contact details (such as your name or nickname, email address, and social media or messaging handles), information you give when you join our waitlist or community, apply to take part as a client, miner, developer or partner, enter a promotion or programme, or contact us, and any other information you choose to share with us. Information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date, and if you give us information about someone else, you confirm you are entitled to do so.

**Information from other sources.** We may combine information you give us with information from public sources, social media platforms, data and screening providers, partners and co-sponsors, and third-party services you use to connect with the Services.

**Information collected automatically.** When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, general location, pages viewed, referring sites, access times, and how you interact with our emails and communications.

**Blockchain information.** This includes public wallet addresses, transaction details and other on-chain activity associated with your use of the Services, including information about wallet addresses that we obtain from blockchain analytics and screening providers.

We may also collect identity, verification or compliance information where required by law or for particular programmes. We will never ask for your private keys or seed phrases. Anything you post in public community channels, such as Discord, Telegram or X, may be seen by others and is also subject to those platforms' policies.

## 3. Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies to operate and secure the Services, remember your preferences, understand how the Services are used, measure the effectiveness of our communications, and protect against bots and abuse. Some are strictly necessary; others are used for analytics, functionality or marketing, where permitted by law.

Most browsers let you refuse, delete or manage cookies. If you do, some parts of the Services may not work properly. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

## 4. How we use information

We may use personal information for the following purposes, or as otherwise described at the time of collection:

* **Providing the Services:** to operate, maintain, secure and improve the Services, the testnet and our business, and to provide support and respond to your requests.
* **Communications:** to send you updates, announcements, security alerts and administrative messages, and, where permitted, marketing about QMS, the network and the ecosystem.
* **Programmes and events:** to administer waitlists, community and developer programmes, promotions, grants, events and other initiatives, and to assess eligibility and detect sybil, bot, duplicate or fraudulent activity.
* **Analytics and development:** to understand how the Services are used and to develop new features, products and services.
* **Compliance and protection:** to comply with law and legal process, carry out screening and verification, enforce our terms, protect the rights, property and safety of QMS, our users and others, and detect and prevent fraud, security incidents and illegal activity.

We may also create aggregated, de-identified or anonymised data that cannot reasonably identify you, and use and share it for any lawful purpose.

## 5. How we share information

We may share personal information with:

* **Affiliates and contributors** who help us operate the Services and our business.
* **Service providers** that act on our behalf, such as hosting, IT, analytics, communications, marketing, verification and support providers, some of which may also use information under their own terms and privacy policies.
* **Partners** with whom we run joint programmes, events, promotions or integrations.
* **Professional advisers**, such as lawyers, auditors and insurers.
* **Authorities and others** where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or necessary for the compliance and protection purposes above.
* **Business transferees** in connection with any actual or proposed financing, reorganisation, merger, acquisition, foundation formation or sale of all or part of our business or assets.
* **Third parties at your direction**, or with your consent, including services you choose to link to the Services.

## 6. Blockchain data

The QMS Network is a public blockchain. Transactions, wallet addresses and other data recorded on-chain, including data submitted to the network by clients and miners, are public, permanent and outside our control. We cannot change or delete on-chain data, and some privacy rights may not apply to it. You should not submit personal or confidential information to the network unless you are entitled to do so and have taken appropriate precautions. Clients are responsible for any data they submit to the network (including job data) and for having a lawful basis to do so; QMS does not process that data on their behalf. Where a Service we operate handles personal data contained in a client's job data, we do so only on that client's instructions and to the limited extent needed to submit it to the network, return solutions and operate and secure the Services. The client, not QMS, decides why and how that data is used, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to it. Individuals whose personal data is included in job data should contact the relevant client.

## 7. Retention, security and international transfers

**Retention.** We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to meet legal, regulatory, accounting and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and enforce our agreements. We then delete or anonymise it, or, where that is not practicable, store it securely and isolate it from further use.

**Security.** We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information. You transmit information to us at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your devices, accounts and wallets secure.

**International transfers.** Our operations are international, and your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

## 8. Your rights and choices

**Marketing.** You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. You may still receive service-related messages.

**Your rights.** Depending on where you live, and to the extent technically possible given the nature of blockchain technology, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it (without affecting earlier processing). To make a request, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may decline a request where the law allows, for example where we need to keep information to meet legal obligations or to establish or defend legal claims.

**Declining to provide information.** Some information is needed to provide the Services or for legal reasons. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to offer some or all of the Services.

**Users in Europe.** If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on the basis of contractual necessity, our legitimate interests (such as operating, securing, improving and promoting the Services), compliance with legal obligations, or your consent, as applicable. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

**Governing law.** This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, subject to any mandatory data protection rights you have under the laws where you live.

## 9. Other matters

**Third-party sites and services.** The Services may link to or work with third-party websites, wallets, platforms and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for how they handle your information; please review their privacy policies.

**Changes.** We may update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version with a new "Last updated" date. Changes take effect when posted unless we say otherwise, and your continued use of the Services means you accept them. Where changes are material, we may also notify you by other means. For questions or requests about this Privacy Policy, email <legal@qms.finance>.
